Totally Bear is the twenty-sixth level in Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and the first of two secret levels of the game. The level is located in the Sixth Warp Room and is unlocked when you take the secret warp from Un-Bearable.

Totally Bear is a level where the player rides Polar, a miniature bear. The aim is to get to the end of the stage, avoiding animal and structural obstacles in Crash's way. The level is icy and snowy, there are small and large pits of icy water which freeze Crash if fallen into. Crash can make Polar jump and turn, but not attack or go backwards. The level is considerably harder than the previous "Bear" levels (Bear It, and Bear Down) since there are wider gaps, more obstacles, and the fact that it's dark so you can't see very far. Also, some boxes are located above wide water pools so you'll have to press O to boost and jump to get them. Totally Bear has no Bonus Round, because the player cannot stop Polar, or turn around. Totally Bear also contains no Crystal and only a Clear Gem. Totally Bear contains the following enemies that a player will face:

Like in every level, the regular Clear Gem is present. To obtain this gem, a player must collect every box in the level. In the level, some of the boxes difficult to obtain. There is no particular strategy. There are no other gems to obtain in Totally Bear.

  • This level, along with Totally Fly, is the only level that doesn't contain a Crystal and only a Clear Gem.
  • The level's name is a pun on the Barbie product "Totally Hair".
  • Despite being pitch black, this level has no fireflies unlike Night Fight and Totally Fly (the other secret level). That's probably because of the light following Crash and Polar throughout the level.
  • Unlike the rest of the levels in the Sixth Warp Room  and the other secret paths in the game, the music is exactly the same as the other bear levels in the main Warp Room rather than a death route style remix of it.
