Turtle Woods is the first level in Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. The level is located in Warp Room 1.
Overview[]
Turtle Woods is a forest/woods style level, with many plants and animals around. There is barely any grass through, the player is simply striding through dirt. It also features deep mud, which can slow the player down. There are Pit areas that the player need to go down and kill the rats in order to progress through the level. There is a Bonus Round, and a secret entrance to a hidden part in the level. Turtle Woods contains the following enemies that a player will face:
- Armadillo
- Turtle
- Bird
- Flamingo
- Rat
Gems[]
Like in every level, the regular Clear Gem is present. To obtain this gem, a player must collect every box in the level. Also in Turtle Woods is the hard to access Blue Gem. Obtaining the blue gem is reliability easy, but finding out how to obtain it is very hard. Crash must not destroy any boxes; at the end of the level the Blue Gem will be waiting.
