Hang Eight is the third level in Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. The level is located in Warp Room 1.
Overview[]
Air Crash is a "climb up the river" style level with plants around everywhere. The level is filled with water; fall in it and the player will lose a life. Hang Eight is the first level to allow the player to hop onto a Jet Ski. Crash can control the Jet Ski, and must avoid obstacles. There is a Bonus Round in the level, and a Blue Gem Path as well. Hang Eight contains the following enemies that a player will face:
- Piranha
- Venus Fly Trap
- Bombs
Gems[]
Like in every level, the regular Clear Gem is present. To obtain this gem, a player must collect every box in the level. However, you can only get this Clear Gem by obtaining the Blue Gem in Turtle Woods. It opens up the Blue Gem Path, where the player must collect all the boxes in that area. There is another Clear Gem in Hang Eight. This time, the player must get to the end of the level before the timer at the bottom right reaches 0.
Trivia[]
- The title, "Hang Eight" is an pun of the term, "Hang Ten," as bandicoots only have eight toes.
